Scenic Courses, Plentiful Refreshments
The 15K course traverses challenging hills and trails as it runs through parks and along the Upper Iowa River. Parts of the flat, 5K course also follow the river’s waters. All events start and finish at Decorah City Hall (400 Claiborne Dr) with the 15K going off at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K at 7:35 a.m. There will be water/aid stations along both courses, as well as fresh fruit, water, and other beverages at the finish area.
New this year! Shower facilities will be available at no charge after the race on the Luther College campus from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Those wishing to take advantage of this amenity should go to the Regents Center (main entrance is at the north end of the football field on the lower campus). Showers may be used in the “Pool Locker Rooms” on the lower level.
Awards and Age Groups
Awards will be presented to the first three finishers in each age group, male and female, for the 5K and 15K runs. Overall male and female race winners will receive a separate award and are ineligible for age group awards. Age groups are the same for the 5K and 15K races: 13 and under, 14-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
Registrants may pick up race packets at City Hall on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. or at the Beverage Garden tent Saturday morning from 6:00-7:15 a.m.
