Nordic Fest and the Decorah community have lost a founder and contributor. Harry Olson was the first president of Nordic Fest in 1967, and served on the board of directors through 1970. Along with his wife Jo, Harry owned and operated Ruby’s Restaurant – the only local restaurant to feature Norwegian food!

Harry also held the office of Winneshiek County Treasurer, was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Jaycees. He enjoyed serving the community.
